sports physiotherapy – RÉATHLeTISATION
Re-athletization for the athlete, whether competitive or not, consists of readapting the body to the specific gestures and requirements of the physical exercise previously practiced. The objective is to bring the athlete back to “normal” training.
Whether it is following an operation, following a pathology (illness or trauma) or even after several months or even several years without active practice, it is a process aimed at re-training in order to be as quickly as possible physically fit to return to his or her best level, whether for competition or as part of a leisure sport.
At Andrew Ahenkora Physical Therapy, the duration of each phase of reathletization is personal and actually depends on the severity of the injury and its location.
